An Inverse Problem in Cloud Microphysics: Reconstruction of the Solution of the Equation of Coalescence of Two Components (water and aerosol), from Its Orthogonal Projections.
Abstract:
In this work we assume that the reconstruction of the solution of the coalescence equation is an ill-posed inverse problem, since its mathematical formulation leads to a system of linear algebraic equations with more unknowns than equations, where the matrix has incomplete range and a particular structure. The presentation also includes an algorithm and computational results, for a constant kernerl and given initial conditions.
