G21B:
Scientific Exploration of the Earth with Multimodal Remote Sensing: InSAR and the New Sentinel-3 Mission II Posters

Session ID#: 10903

Session Description:
InSAR techniques have already become central tools in the crustal deformation community; more recently, advances in InSAR have led to new applications including the analysis of the atmosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, and hydrosphere, as well as their mutual interactions.

This session is soliciting contributions that are showcasing such recent developments in InSAR-based Earth observation. Of special interest are (1) papers related to new InSAR applications including but not limited to the mapping of atmospheric water vapor, biomass, groundwater flow, permafrost, glaciers, wetlands and soil moisture, as well as the support of emergency response activities and infrastructure monitoring; (2) contributions describing unique processing strategies designed for these applications, including improvements in error modeling and nuisance signal mitigation; and (3) calibration and validation efforts of InSAR results using in-situ data such as aquifer well logs, near-surface geophysical measurements, etc. Presentations focused on new sensing systems are also welcome.
