H53C:
Hydrogeophysical Characterization of the Critical Zone II Posters

Session ID#: 7843

Session Description:
Critical zone processes and dynamics have important impacts on ecosystems’ functioning, land and water management, and climate change. Advances in understanding hydrological and biogeochemical processes in the critical zone require continued developments in characterizing and/or monitoring the spatial distribution of properties and processes from the vegetation down to the bedrock using a variety of acquisition and processing techniques. We encourage contributions that present advances in characterizing and/or monitoring the critical zone by using hydrogeophysical and/or hydrological methods, or any combination of these with remote sensing approaches. Presentations that investigate interactions of landscape, vegetation, water, solute, and soil properties, as well as those that develop novel hydrogeophysical acquisition, inversion or integration methods for this zone are also encouraged.
