SH31C:
Preparing for Solar Probe Plus and Solar Orbiter: A Coordinated Science from the Corona to the Inner Heliosphere II Posters
Session ID#: 8726
Session Description:
Understanding coronal heating and solar wind acceleration, unveiling the mechanisms of coronal mass ejections and energetic particle acceleration, linking the magnetic field evolution from the solar interior to its consequences in terms of solar variability and space weather are at the core of heliophysics exploration in the next decade with Solar Probe Plus and Solar Orbiter. Coordinating science with advanced instrumentation on multiple spacecraft, assets at Earth and beyond, as well as sophisticated modeling of basic plasma physical processes on multiple scales will be key to understand the origins of the solar wind and heliosphere and its evolution from the sun. This session encourages contributions covering observations, data analysis and theoretical developments that combine data from different sources and advanced modeling to understand the dynamics of the solar atmosphere from the base of the corona into the inner heliosphere.
