B51I:
Characterizing Vegetation Structure with Remote Sensing II

Session ID#: 9182

Session Description:
Vegetation structure is a key element of ecosystems that impacts many aspects of ecosystem function, such as carbon cycling, habitat suitability and biodiversity, among others. Technological advances in remote sensing including interferometric radar, lidar, high-resolution stereo, and multi-angle sensor approaches are revolutionizing our ability to characterize the horizontal and vertical structure of vegetation with unprecedented detail. We invite papers that present results from novel methods or datasets to characterize vegetation structure across multiple scales. Submissions presenting a comparison of techniques and/or data fusion are particularly encouraged.
