Abstract:
Using a combination of STEREO/SECCHI/EUVI and SDO/AIA imaging we reveal patterns in the imaging data that are consistent in appearance with global scale rotationally driven waves on the activity bands of the solar magnetic polarity cycle. These observations point to new insight into the root causes of space weather and motivate a new multi-viewpoint study of the entire solar atmosphere.
