Abstract:
Magnetic flux rope (MFR), a coherent structure with all magnetic field lines winding around the central axis, is believed to be the intrinsic structure of corona mass ejections (CMEs). To better understand the physics behind CMEs and further predict their arrival, studying when, where, and how the MFR is built up is necessary. In this presentation, we investigate the EUV images, 3D magnetic field configurations, and thermal structures of an MFR-associated active region and reveal the key features of the formation of MFR. Through analyzing the spectral data provided by IRIS, we also disclose the spectral features of the MFR formation.
