Abstract:
The behavior of the trend in the isotopic composition of oxygen-18 and deuterium in groundwater in similar studies of basins located in a portion of the Transmexican Volcanic Belt from 1981 to 2014 is presented. A common isotopic behavior was identified; described by a process of mixing formed by: meteoric "normal" water; water with different degree of evaporation depending on the land use, agricultural, urban and industrial, what makes water dominated as the anthropogenic component and a type of thermal water related to this volcanic zone, all of them form a ternary mixture. The results show this mix in different proportion which could be related to the degree of exploitation and intensity of agricultural irrigation. This comparison will illustrate that in the same area there is a trend in isotope hydrological systems analyzed. The results are focused on providing information for better management of water resources in the area.
