Correlation Based Modelling of Ionospheric Magnetic Field

Abstract:

We construct correlation structurs of the ionospheric field using long time simulations of the CM4 field model.

The correlation paterns are expressed in solar magnetic coordinates. This is used to separate internal and external field components.

We show first results from observatory data. In particular we give estimations of the uncertainties of the field component using Bayesian statistics.
