Abstract:
The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site in solar and space physics in Boulder, Colorado is entering its 10th year. We use a variety of means to evaluate the performance of our program. Each year, we give the students a summative survey, and then we contact them three years later for a followup survey. We have achieved a high response rate in the followup survey, and the results are very encouraging. Students report that the REU program was helpful in determining their career goals, and the majority have gone on to graduate school or technical jobs. In this presentation, we will summarize the results of the survey data.
