CGL and Landau fluid simulations of turbulence

Abstract:
We will present 3 dimensional freely decaying and forced simulations of turbulence with different fluid models such as CGL (double adiabatic) model and Landau fluid models. Simulations will be aimed at the modeling
of the spectral break around the proton gyroscale. We will also discuss thresholds and damping rates of firehose and mirror instabilieties.
