Carbon Dynamics in Tropical, Arctic/Boreal, Coastal, and Wetland-Dominant Regions I Posters

Session Description:
Monitoring and assessment of carbon dynamics are critical but very challenging in tropical, arctic/boreal, coastal, and wetland-dominant regions. Inventories, eddy flux measurements networks (e.g. Ameriflux, FLUXNET, NEON), and geospatial data products from field measurement, airborne and satellite sensors can contribute to improving estimation of carbon stocks (e.g. biomass, LAI) and carbon fluxes (e.g. GPP, NPP, respiration). These products can be used to constrain or verify biogeochemical model simulations. We invite contributions that demonstrate novel approaches and recent findings on monitoring and quantifying carbon dynamics in these ecosystems and/or regions. We are interested in investigations exploring the characteristics and dynamical behaviors of these ecosystems, which are important to better understand and predict ecosystem responses to climate change and disturbances.
