Session ID#: 12532
Session Description:
Recent studies have highlighted the importance of ecogeomorphic feedbacks in a variety of environmental settings, including marshes, tidal channels, deltas, rivers, aeolian dunes, and many others, and these feedbacks often lead to the formation of complex morphological patterns. Interactions between flow, sediments, and biota occur at a range of spatial scales, ranging from millimeters to kilometers. This session explores such ecogeomorphic feedbacks, focusing on large-scale landscape evolution. We welcome studies of ecomorphodynamics for both flora and fauna using field studies, numerical models, and/or laboratory experiments.
