Session Description:
Hydrogeophysical methods provide spatially continuous subsurface profiles via the integration of hydrological and geophysical datasets. This approach shows promise in improving the predictive accuracy of hydrologic models, aids in uncertainty assessment of hydrologic parameters, and enhances the general understanding and monitoring of hydrologic processes. This session solicits research that incorporates hydrological and geophysical measurements to improve the characterization of hydrologic parameters and processes. Sought topics include, but are not limited to: innovative coupled or joint inversion strategies; novel strategies to incorporate hydrologic process information into inversion systems; application of coupled hydrogeophysical modeling; data errors and uncertainty quantification methods; hydrogeophysical experimental design; methods for evaluation of hydrogeophysical data worth.
