Session ID#: 12884
Session Description:
Recent years have witnessed significant growth in active research conducted globally on quantifying the thermal, hydrological, and mechanical behavior of hydrate bearing sediments. This session intends to serve as a forum for fostering idea exchanges and collaborations. Researchers from various disciplines are invited to present their progress on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from laboratory experiments and simulations of thermal, mechanical, and hydrodynamic behavior of hydrate bearing sediments, sample preparation methods and characterization of hydrate accumulation habits in pore and core scale, impacts of hydrate dissociation on sediments properties and well stability, in-situ monitoring and characterization, gas resources assessment and production potential estimates, to computational method developments and case studies of exploration and production.
