Session Description:
This session will focus on novel instrument techniques to observe the sun and geospace from the heliosphere to the interstellar media. Challenging science targets in the field of Heliophysics have been advanced by emerging technologies throughout the space era, and recent technological advances provides low-cost, low-power, light-weight, high-resolution, high-accuracy, and wide-dynamic range investigations that can enhance the technological capabilities and scientific closure of next generation missions. Abstracts are solicited that investigate and develop instruments or their fundamental subsystems for in-situ studies of particles (thermal, suprathermal to energetic plasmas ranging eV to MeV, and neutral gas including bulk features and mass spectrometry) and fields (electric and magnetic fields from low to high frequencies), and remote studies of energetic neutral atoms and photons (from the near infrared to x-rays).
