Session ID#: 13191

Session Description:
The focus of this session is on Mesozoic and Cenozoic tectonics and evolution of the crust and lithosphere of the Rocky Mountains of the northwestern USA.  Recent investigations have focussed on the characterization and modification of the cratonic passive margin, growth of the continent by accretion, orogeny, magmatism, and structural tectonics of this portion of the US Cordillera.  We invite contributions from geology, geochemistry, and geophysics, including recent EarthScope investigations, that improve our understanding of the tectonic driving forces and the crustal and lithospheric deformation and magmatism that define the 4-D evolution of this portion of the continent.
