Renewable Energy: Wind, Solar, Marine, and Open Topics I Posters
Submit an Abstract to this Session
Please know the abstract submission deadline has passed. There are no exceptions to this deadline and no new abstracts can be submitted.
You can still search the program to see your colleagues abstract submissions as well as the sessions submitted for the 2016 Fall Meeting. The final program will be released in early October.
Session ID#: 13208
Session Description:
The session will focus on the science, technology and policy issues of wave, current, and tidal energy conversion for electric utilities. Studies focusing on environmental effects of marine hydrokinetic energy devices (e.g., acoustic and electromagnetic influences to aquatic and benthic species, altered hydrodynamics, water quality, and sediment transport, or changes to currents, wave regimes, and tidal ranges), environmental monitoring, device performance evaluation, and resource assessment are of interest. Wave-energy converters will also be a focus. Studies in riverine environments are also appropriate. Assessment of policy or decision making associated with implementation of renewable energies are also welcome, but may be categorized into the Integration, Policy and Open Topics session.
