Existing and Legacy Oil and Gas Infrastructure: Characterization, Mitigation, and Management II Posters

Session Description:
Existing and legacy oil and gas infrastructure includes wells, pipelines, tanks, and underground storage fields, which have been linked to greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., methane), water contamination, and air pollution.  The characterization, mitigation, and management of existing and legacy infrastructure that can be found across the U.S. and abroad remain a challenge that requires a multi-disciplinary approach.  We invite a broad range of studies including field studies (e.g., flux measurements, gas and water geochemical sampling, mobile surveys, and geophysics), laboratory analyses such as measurement technique refinement, fluid, contaminant, and geomechanical modeling, risk assessment, economic analysis, and database analyses including historical, commercial, and public databases and documents.
