H13H:
Complexities of Flow and Transport in Porous Media across Diverse Disciplines II Posters
Submit an Abstract to this Session
Please know the abstract submission deadline has passed. There are no exceptions to this deadline and no new abstracts can be submitted.
You can still search the program to see your colleagues abstract submissions as well as the sessions submitted for the 2016 Fall Meeting. The final program will be released in early October.
Session ID#: 13394
Session Description:
Many advances in our understanding of porous media science have been made in geological systems, where single/multiphase flow and reactive transport are the dominant physical processes. Porous media processes are also important to many industrial and biological applications, such as fuel cells, paper pulp drying, microfluidic pumps, food production, filtration, textiles, plants, hygiene products, and biological tissues. However, there is limited scientific discussion related to similarities in underlying governing physical phenomena in these diverse disciplines. This session will serve as a platform to bring together scientists who investigate flow and transport in porous media in various disciplines to discuss recent advances.
