Ecohydrologic and Ecogeomorphologic Processes at the Intersection of Landscapes and Environmental Change II Posters

Session Description:
Terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems are hierarchically structured across landscapes and stream networks. Feedbacks between landscape change (natural and anthropogenic), ecohydrological processes, and biota often result in nonlinear responses and environmental “surprises”. However, such feedbacks and their consequences of the structure and function of the earth system are generally poorly understood under a changing climate and human impact. We invite multi-disciplinary (ecology, hydrology, geomorphology, climatology, and spatial analysis) contributions that utilize a wide array of techniques (observations, laboratory and field experiments, and modeling) to address complex eco-hydro-geomorphic  feedbacks. Specifically, we encourage contributions from diverse regions and landscapes that: 1- investigate how vegetation, animals, and micro-organisms interact with the hydrological cycle and how both hydrology and biota shape the earth surface; 2- improve our ability to manage feedbacks occurring at the intersection of landscape, climate, and environmental change; and 3- examine the role of humans and built environments on eco-hydro-geomorphic feedbacks.
