Session Description:
This session will focus on building capacity of individuals and institutions to use Earth Observations (EO) to address environmental challenges, take data-driven decisions and actions, and develop public policy. Discussion will focus on capacity development approaches, translating best practices into the operational context, sustaining capacity developed, and leveraging and synchronizing overlapping efforts and available resources. Panelists will speak to their approach to capacity building, specific case studies, and best practices that improve decision making practices and enrich societal outcomes. The panel will facilitate a rich discussion regarding effective methods and challenges to expanding the use of Earth observations.
