Session Description:
Large scale hydrologic model applications can be used to identify dominant hydrologic processes, which can vary spatially depending on the landscape. Examples of landscapes may include agriculture, monsoon season precipitation, prairie pothole, frozen ground, karst and other permeable geology, vegetation, and urbanization. Understanding the dominant hydrologic process can inform scientists, water managers, stakeholders, and policy makers about regional differences in water availability and improve hydrologic models. This session invites contributions that explore the behavior of hydrologic process across diverse landscapes, including research that examines the accuracy/inaccuracy of hydrologic models and the relation to hydrologic process and landscape.
