Session Description:
The identification and characterization of subsurface water and ice has become a critical issue in understanding the evolution of planetary surfaces, their past and present potential for life, and as an important in situ resource for future human explorers. This session will explore the use of geomorphic, geophysical, and other remote sensing techniques, to investigate the state and distribution of water on a variety of Solar System objects including small bodies, planets, and icy ocean worlds. Abstracts addressing these topics, including analog, laboratory, simulation and instrument prototype studies supporting existing or potential future investigations, are encouraged.
