Session Description:
Climate change increases communities’ risks associated with extreme events and natural hazards. The ability of communities to increase their resilience to and adapt to the effects of climate change depends on their access to actionable climate, extreme event, and hazard data and information products. There have been many efforts to enhance the discoverability, accessibility, and usability of these data and information products by communities within the United States and globally.

The goal of this session is to convene communities, science translators, and information providers to share their experiences enhancing the usability of climate and hazard data and information products for decision-making. We encourage abstracts that discuss the development of methods, techniques, products, and services related to the communication of climate, extreme event, and hazard data information. In particular, we invite best practices and lessons learned from the communication and application of these methods, techniques, products, and services to support decision-making.
