Session ID#: 15177

Session Description:
The increasing amount and coverage of available geophysical data allow us to image Earth's and other planetary or lunar crustal structure and processes with higher precision and resolution. Yet, this larger amount of data requires the development of new methods of interpretation and modeling. Joint interpretation or inversion of various datasets take advantage of their different sensitivities to help resolve ambiguities. In this session, we invite contributions that use magnetic, gravity and/or electromagnetic methods to investigate the structure of Earth's and other planetary or lunar crusts from local to lithospheric scale using ground, marine, airborne, and/or satellite data. We welcome presentations that develop new techniques of interpretation or modeling, as well as studies of new datasets that image crustal features including, but not limited to: fault zones, sedimentary basins, hydrothermal systems, magmatic intrusions, subduction slabs, crustal thickness and depth to the Curie temperature isotherm.
