Session Description:
With the launch of new generation satellites, deployment of coordinated field campaigns and advances in high-resolution modeling, much progress has been made in understanding the dynamics of convective storm systems in a broad context of weather, climate and atmospheric composition. Motivated by these facts, we invite presentations on recent findings on tropical and mid-latitude convective storm systems and their impacts on the environment. Both observational and modeling studies are encouraged to participate in this session.
