Session Description:
Rapid socioeconomic growth has significantly increased the simultaneous demands for food, energy, and water (FEW) resources, making it increasingly important to understand synergies and tradeoffs in this complex, coupled system. This session will focus on recent scientific advancements in our understanding of the FEW nexus to provide a venue for submissions studying the FEW nexus through a variety of methodologies, such as with theoretical, empirical, and computational approaches. We welcome interdisciplinary submissions that explore the complexities of the FEW nexus, its response to internal and external variability, potential nexus vulnerabilities, and opportunities to enhance the resiliency of the system and resource sustainability.
