Session ID#: 17696
Session Description:
The geomorphology and sedimentology of coastal systems can be observed, monitored and modeled across a range of spatial and temporal scales, from studies of coastal evolution over the Quaternary to small-scale sediment transport processes. The 2016 Coastal Geomorphology and Morphodynamics Session welcomes contributions based upon field observations, the application and development of models, investigations of sedimentary deposits, physical experiments, and interdisciplinary studies. The session will include studies from a wide range of coastal settings including barrier systems, rocky and cliffed coasts, deltas, arctic coasts, marshes and lagoons, estuaries, and open coasts.
