Session Description:
Advances in isotope geosciences are enabling new types of measurement, e.g. methane isotopologues, and use novel and refined instruments for analysis, e.g. high resolution stable isotope mass spectrometers and novel IR absorption spectrometry. At the same time, there has been considerable progress in miniaturizing isotope analytical devices for field and planetary flight applications. Thus, the greater isotope field is experiencing rapid evolution of both cutting-edge experimentation and the measurement systems needed to answer important scientific questions.

In this session we will not only showcase new research but also hope to benefit from the new format, allowed for the first time, and end the session with a panel discussion to stimulate synergistic exchange of ideas between a broad range of scientific and technological experts. We welcome contributions from all areas of scientific or methodological research on, stable, radioactive, radiogenic or noble-gas isotopes, and also encourage theoretical or logistical contributions.
