Earth's Early Days: The Hadean and Early Archean I

Session Description:
Although the Earth lacks a rock record for its first few hundred million years, it is likely that conditions during and immediately following this time were fundamental in shaping our planet’s later history and habitability.  Controversy surrounds such questions as the meteorite bombardment history or tectonic regime(s) during the Hadean and early Archean.  Better constraints on the tectonic, magmatic, climatic, and other processes on the early Earth require creative and often multidisciplinary approaches.  We welcome abstracts investigating conditions during the Hadean and early Archean, including both theoretical and empirical approaches and ranging from the solid Earth to surface conditions, climate, or other relevant topics.
