Pre-Earthquake Processes: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Earthquake Prediction Studies II Posters
Session ID#: 22063
Session Description:
This session concerns the interdisciplinary observations of earthquakes that would have an impact on our understanding of the physics of earthquakes processes and the phenomena that precede their energy release. Based on interdisciplinary studies the session will present new evidence concerning proposed earthquake precursors. Presentations will discuss the latest progress in the search for pre-earthquake processes. The talks will include but are not limited to: observations; modeling and analyses; geochemical; electromagnetic; thermodynamic processes; and case histories related to stress changes in the lithosphere along with their statistical and physical validation. Presentations on the latest developments in earthquake predictability and prospective testing associated with major earthquakes are welcomed.
