EP21B:
Dynamic Deltas: Processes and Records of Change II Posters

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 23949

Session Description:
Deltas serve as geologic textbooks which capture climatic, tectonic, and sedimentological signatures over time scales spanning many orders of magnitude. These dynamic depocenters are sensitive to perturbations, and evolve through unique autogenic and allogenic processes. Understanding how deltas operate through stratigraphic exploration, observational programs, experiments, and modeling is key to predicting how they will evolve under rapidly changing boundary conditions. This session welcomes studies of deltas from diverse environments at all temporal and spatial scales, in order to further our knowledge of these critical regions.
