Session Description:
This session welcomes presentations related to evaluation and assessment efforts of education and public outreach (EPO) and communication programs. The desire to improve outcomes and impacts, along with continual pressure from funding agencies and other stakeholders has made evaluation a critical piece of all EPO programs and is becoming increasingly important to commmunication efforts as well. Demonstrating the impact of a program is more than reporting metrics and can include changes in participants’ awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. We welcome presentations from evaluators and those who work with evaluators to highlight robust evaluation plans, evaluation tools, partnerships working with evaluators, lessons learned, and examples of successful program evaluations.
