Advances in Gravity Sensors and Measurements: New Challenges and Opportunities I Posters

Session Description:
Steady advances in the collection, processing, and modeling of gravity have increased its popularity and usefulness for improving geoidal and geophysical models. Recent developments in gravity sensors, including laser-cooled atom gravimeters, have resulted in new few µGal instruments and have the potential for future sub-µGal sensors.  This session will bring together users and providers of gravimetric sensors to explore the currently unmet needs of today's gravimeter community and to identify research areas that could benefit from this greater accuracy and stability.  For this session, we welcome abstracts that discuss gravity in terms of its collection and/or processing and/or applications to geophysical and geoid modeling including science questions associated with tides, earthquakes, groundwater flow, geoid modeling, and other such topics.  Finally, presenters without access to proprietary data sets are encouraged to use publicly available data (e.g., NGS GRAV-D, etc.) and to submit an abstract based on their investigation of this data.
