Dark Data Revived! Data Rescue: New Discoveries with Old Data Posters

Session Description:
It only seems appropriate that we should be bringing back nearly dead data in New Orleans. This session will highlight recent discovers made using rescued data sets in an effort to expanding funding for future efforts. More project are being started to recover Dark Data. These historic records are often unique and there is no other source of observations that cover those periods. What are the question or problems that are trying to be answered with this data? The session will be looking for projects/stories that succeeded, are in process and especially those that failed, so we can all learn from those issues.
