Detection, Monitoring, and Prediction of Wellbore Integrity II Posters

Session Description:
Wellbore integrity plays a critical role in a variety of subsurface engineering operations, including energy production, energy storage, and disposal and/or storage of energy-related waste products. Detecting, montoring, and prediction of wellbore inetrgity failure are key to ensuring contaiment and control of subsurface fluids/materials. Therefore, prevention and/or detection of leakage from wellbores and shaft seals/plugs are an integral to successful operation of subsurface engineering aplications that relay upon intetgrity of seals.

This session invites presentations that focus on experimental, computational, or field studies of wellbore integrity. Topics may include: monitoring and/or detection of wellbore leakage; chemical and mechanical durabiltiy of wellbore cement and/or casing; chemical, mechanical, or chemo-mechanical evolutuion of key wellbore interfaces (cement/casing, cement/host, cement fractures); risk analysis and/or management of leakage scenarios; policy implications and/or environmental impacts of wellbore leakage; performance assessment or safety analysis of subsurface containment.
