Integrated Assessment Modeling, Coupled Human and Natural Systems, and Global Change Research II Posters

Session Description:
The energy, land, water, and climate systems are intricately linked, with changes in one system leading to changes in the others. A new impetus is emerging for interdisciplinary research into the various and complex interactions between the human and Earth systems, and their improved representation in models. Integrated Assessment Models and Coupled Human-Earth System Models capture these interactions, representing each of these systems with different levels of detail but with a specific focus on the feedbacks between them.

This session aims to bring together researchers using these modeling framerowks for different science and policy applications and to highlight recent advances and research applications. We welcome contributions on topics including but not limited to: 1) the influence of climate change and variability on human systems; 2) interactions between energy, water, land, and climate; 3) the interplay between air pollution controls, climate change and health impacts; 4) multi-sectoral analysis of environmental policies.
