PP21A:
Evaluating Tectonic and Volcanic Forcing of Earth's Climate II Posters
Submit an Abstract to this Session
Session ID#: 30515
Session Description:
Recent work suggests that the long-term carbon cycle (e.g., volcanic sources or weathering/burial sinks) is more dynamic than previously thought and the community lacks consensus on which aspects of the carbon cycle exert the ‘dominant’ control on major climatic shifts in Earth history. This session will highlight novel approaches that investigate how variation in the principal CO2 sources and sinks influence long-term climate change.
