Air Pollution, Greenhouse Gases, and Emissions in Asia and Its Interactions with the World I
Session ID#: 30890
Session Description:
Asia, particularly China and India, is a major source region of air pollutants and greenhouse gases. Recent growth in its emissions, air pollution and greenhouse gases not only has caused dramatic domestic environmental problems, but has also raised concerns of long-range pollution transport and climate change. Asia is also affected by other world regions via similar mechanisms. Economic trade has also been associated with substantial inter-regional transfer of emissions and environmental burdens. This session will focus on Asian air pollution, greenhouse gases and emissions and its interactions with other world regions.
