The Great American Solar Eclipse 2017: First Science Results

Session Description:
Science results from what promises to be the best observed solar eclipse. Contributions from eclipse teams and citizen scientists on solar physics, atmospheric physics, planetary atmospheres and other science enabled by the eclipse. The session will highlight observations spanning the eclipse path, new instrumentation, new platforms and science enabled by citizen participations. Outreach successes and lessons learned for the 2024 eclipse will be presented.
