Reactivity and Cycling of Organic and Inorganic Compounds in the Atmospheric Multiphase System I Posters

Session Description:
Volatile inorganic and organic compounds are anthropogenic or naturally-derived atmospheric constituents that play an important role in a variety of significant tropospheric processes. These impacts include production of secondary aerosols and changes in the oxidative capacity of the atmosphere. As the aqueous phase of precipitation, clouds, fogs and aerosol particles provides a medium for unique chemical reactions and product formation, research exploring the atmospheric multiphase system through chemical aqueous phase processes, wet deposition and air-water gas exchange in the atmosphere is encouraged. Contributions are invited that show evidence of secondary aerosol formation and aqueous phase processes from observations, laboratory and model studies. They include, but are not restricted to, laboratory results using new techniques, recent developments in the analysis of VOCs in environmental samples, and model studies that aim at improving the representation of multiphase chemistry in atmospheric models or apply current models to suitable data sets
