Merging Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Geochemistry to Investigate Earth's Dynamic Evolution II Posters

Session Description:
Interpreting geochemical and petrological data in terms of physical processes in the subsurface remains a great challenge in Earth Sciences. To promote interdisciplinary action towards addressing this challenge, we seek to convene a session that merges new geochemical observations, thermodynamic calculations, and fluid mechanical approaches in the investigation of solid Earth evolution. Potential topics include: the origins, evolution, and preservation of mantle heterogeneity; mantle convection and melt production over geologic time; lithosphere production and modification; transport and distribution of volatiles in the Earth; and solid Earth couplings with climate. Complementary contributions from allied disciplines are encouraged to promote a vibrant session.
