Hydrology and Water Quality Models: Advances and Applications in Watershed Planning and Management I
Session ID#: 34504
Session Description:
Watershed managers rely on peer-reviewed models to answer questions related to their regulatory and management objectives. Advances in technology, data availability, and our scientific understanding of environmental processes have led to the development of increasingly complex watershed models. These models and tools are also being tested in new situations, providing opportunities for additional peer review. The goal of this session is to bring together watershed modelers and managers to share their experiences in finding solutions to real world challenges. We encourage submissions related to improving our understanding of watershed and water quality modeling through novel applications, including urban and natural systems, or developing new software and/or methods to derive more from existing models that are widely used to support watershed planning and management. Emphasis should be on providing practical solutions to better manage water resources.
