Session ID#: 35467
Session Description:
The effects that tides exert on rivers can be observed from space as well as from under a microscope and includes small scale turbulent features, bedforms, and large scale channel patterns. Understanding the feedbacks between rivers and tides is tremendously important for coastal change and coastal hazard predictions. This session focuses on recent scientific advancements in the analysis of estuarine and tidal river systems. We welcome the scientific communities that focus on the hydrology, morphology, oceanography, and human aspects of these systems to better understand their dynamics and predict future changes.
