Session Description:
The Agency Lecture will be delivered by Dr. Vaughan Turekian as the senior board director for sustainability programs at the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. 

As more and more challenges are international in scale and have science in their cause and cure, geoscientists can play an central role. This lecture will highlight the intersection of a career in science and diplomacy, highlight important people along the way, and look forward to the potential for earth and planetary scientists over the coming decades.
