Session Description:
This session will be a panel discussion addressing the challenges humanity faces with global climate change. A series of international meetings addressing global and regional climate solutions will be planned. The American Geophysical Union is leading this initiative, which will involve many stakeholders and societal sectors around the world. Climate solutions will be complex and varied across space and time, across political and social boundaries, and inherently multidisciplinary in nature. A major goal of the conference series is to better define how multidisciplinary teams may address climate solutions within and across communities and countries. A further goal is ongoing production of high quality education curriculum and learning tools. These are urgently needed for formal education programs at all levels and for greater learning across most public and private sectors in our societies.
This panel discussion will aim to define conceptual frameworks and practical methodologies aimed at fostering and promoting the innovations so badly needed to respond to the global challenge of climate change.
