Session Description:
Both the Hayabusa 2 and OSIRIS-REx spacecrafts begin proximity operations in June 2018 and October 2018 respectively. This session presents first results from their target asteroids 162173 Ryugu and 101955 Bennu. Global imaging, geochemical and geophysical analyses of these two primitive B-type asteroids reveal exciting new discoveries into the origin and evolution of these two asteroids.
