Cloud Properties, Processes, and Uncertainties: Observations and Analysis I Posters

Session Description:
Clouds play a significant role in the weather and climate systems, and their representation in models remains one of the largest uncertainties for weather and climate predictions. Long-term cloud observations with accurate uncertainty estimates are highly demanded, along with better understanding of cloud processes.
Cloud macro- and micro- physical properties are observed using space- and ground-based remote sensors, and in-situ aircraft probes. Studies have shown large systematic differences of cloud properties from various observations. It is crucial to understand the cloud properties and their uncertainties. With the help of observations and model simulations, understanding of cloud processes can be improved.
This session invites papers on cloud properties, uncertainties and cloud processes. The related topics include but not limited to 1) cloud observations and retrievals; 2) cloud property analyses; 3) cloud uncertainty quantification; 4) cloud and precipitation processes and their parameterization in models; 5) weather and climate impacts of clouds.
