Untangling ENSO Complexity: From the Ancient Past to the Far Future Posters

Session Description:
Our knowledge of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is continually evolving, reflecting the complex nature of this phenomenon. As ENSO represents the strongest year-to-year variability in global climate, in-depth understanding of all aspects of its complexity is paramount for improved predictability of its global impacts. We invite contributions that cover a breadth of topics, highlighting our evolving knowledge of ENSO complexity, including ENSO dynamics, spatio-temporal diversity, precursors, teleconnections, and societal impacts, with particular emphasis on its past to future evolution. Observational and modeling studies that examine ENSO behavior in the paleo record, as well as studies discussing future projections of ENSO behavior are especially welcomed.
